Problem
After an assessment, we found that Ohef Sholom needed an additional $1,000,000+ to preserve their historic sanctuary and expand their programs to current and potential members. There were champions willing to lead the fundraising, but no consensus among the board about the need for a campaign. The culture focused on transactional giving and not philanthropy, and there were no full-time development staff.

Solution
SparkNonprofit conducted a feasibility & planning study for a $1,750,000 capital campaign that engaged and excited Ohef’s board and member donors. We developed a campaign strategy and plan, helped recruit volunteer leadership, and executed the campaign.
Result
As a result of the campaign, Ohef Sholom’s member donors increased their annual giving and helped secure the future of the Temple by donating more than $1,750,000 towards capital and program needs.
